Damien Lee Stirk

Meet our founder and director, Damien Lee Stirk. With a profound love for dance and an unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, Damien is thrilled to welcome you to The Dancers Studio London.

Damien is a graduate of the English National Ballet School, London and recipient of the prestigious Rudolf Nureyev Foundation scholarship. Whilst in vocational training, Damien was selected to perform with English National Ballet under the direction of Derek Deane.

In 1999 Damien joined The Israel Ballet, Tel Aviv. After a successful season dancing soloist and principal roles he returned to the UK to join Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. Damien toured with the company as a performing artist, dance captain and company ballet teacher throughout the UK, and in tours across Australia, Europe, Russia, South-East Asia and the USA.

In 2011 Damien graduated with distinction from the Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma (PDTD) at the Royal Academy of Dance.

With a focus on adult ballet, vocational and professional level teaching,  Damien has taught in the UK and internationally including in Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico and the USA.

Damien continues to perform as an actor with The Royal Ballet most recently in Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Romeo & Juliet and Swan Lake.
